Editors' Take

The pool parties at Hotel QT will pale in comparison to this poolside fundraising bash. Open bar, theater shorts, and apps will make you want jump into the deep end. Skinny dipping optional.

Bring your swimsuit for a wet and wild soiree hosted by Eric Walton.  Watch the sun set over Manhattan and swim under the stars at the Impetuous Theater Company's  poolside rooftop fundraising bash.   Enjoy an open beer and wine bar from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm , plus finger food and teasers from its upcoming festival, Swim Shorts 3: Are You In?.  Stay until midnight to swim under the skyline!

Eric Walton , creator of the smash hit Esoterica, serves as the master of ceremonies.   Variety raved that he’s “impressively good”.    Mr. Walton was awarded the Best Novelty Performance 2006 by American Entertainment Magazine.   His latest short play, The Pitch, will be featured in Swim Shorts 3: Are You In?.

Impetuous Theater Group (ITG) is a non-profit, member-based indie theater company dedicated to producing new work in New York with emerging artists through ensemble, creation of family, and education. Named “People of the Year” in 2005 by NYTheatre.com, ITG recently produced Janet Zarecor’s The Chronological Secrets of Tim (“Uproariously funny!” – NYTheatre.com), the third annual 47:59 Festival at Urban Stages, Fenway: Last of the Bohemians by Kelly McAllister & Lisa Margaret Holub with Boomerang Theatre Company in November 2006, A Night Near the Sun by Don Zolidis in May 2006, the hit comedy Office Sonata by Andy Chmelko (just published in Plays and Playwrights 2007), and Venezuela at the 2005 New York International Fringe Festival.
