At the land marked Childs Building
The Childs Buidling is the former home of
Childs Restaurant Sixty years ago Child's Restaurant advertised
itself as "The Rendezvous of the Elite," but for the past six
decades only Coney Island ghosts and spirits have been able to get
into the fabulous party. No more! Taconic Investment Partners,
owners of the Childs Building, have graciously offered the
currently vacant space to Coney Island USA for the 2007 Mermaid
Ball. The grand ornate ballroom has been cleared and cleaned for
the Ball, but is definitely NOT RESTORED. We promise the ultimate
in raw, warehouse parties.
