Editors' Take

It takes two to make a party go right, which is why MOB and Going are joining forces for this raging record release party. The Exit, Dub Trio, and The Giraffes are playing for free, for you, for real.

MyOpenBar and http://Going.com present:

Dub Trio Record Release Show with The Giraffes

Join us in welcoming home from an Australian Tour our most musically gifted friends – Dub Trio--at their Luna Lounge live record release show.

Originally, yes, Dub Trio was in fact an instrumental trio that played dub music. But over the last few years (while also backing up Mike Patton in Peeping Tom), they’ve surely and steadily converted their listeners into headbangers with a “high-adrenaline punk rock”( The New York Times) retooling.

Special guests The Giraffes (link) and The Exit (link) promise to pack this show to the vibrating rafters.

Doors: 8pm
9pm: THE EXIT
10pm: DUB TRIO
11:15pm: THE GIRAFFES

Hosted byRob Cantrell and DJ tha.ITCH

YES. the dude that kept yelling "dub trio" while the comedian was trying to do his set is a real asshole. some people don't know when to shut up cause their friends and parents never told them too and/or they think they are funny. spitting in someone's face is one of the worst forms of disrespect and although the comedian had some issues and was a little off himself, the dude yelling and spitting should have been thrown out right away. my 2 cents...
  3. good show but...

dub trio was a little off. they were way better at mercury lounge and when they recorded their live album at union pool.
The giraffes were kick ass as usual. Too bad the rest of you left early and didn't get to see the awesomeness.

show was one of the best shows i've seen this year. all the other musicians (the exit, giraffes and dj tha.itch) were great and dub trio absolutely crushed it.

the year's only half up but i know this show will be on my top 10 for the year.

but overall a good show. I remember them from back in the day when they were doing just dub. That guy that spit on the comedian was a real jerk.

never saw a mosh pit so confused. shoving each other around one minute over crunchy riffs and scratching their heads the next when the trio halved the beat and trip-delayed the chords.

Poor comedian, he didn't deserve to be spit on.
