We don't really understand what this group is all about. But judging by their funders and credentials, it sounds like an intellectual think tank. Admit it, you've always wanted to be a part of one.
Monkeybook is an occasional series of new media evenings hosted by
the Institute for the Future of the Book. The institute is
self-described as follows: "We are a
small group dedicated to investigating the transformation of intellectual
discourse as it shifts from printed pages to networked screens. We
are funded generously by the
MacArthur Foundation, and affiliated with the
University of Southern California. We are
located in Brooklyn, NY." I've gotta go just to see what they're talking about.
