PORNOGRAPHY ft. Alexander Bassett & Mike Dextro (Event Over)

Another FREE installation of the popular weekly series Pornography at Pianos. This week is aimed at the electro-disco crowd, with a special guest appearance by Chicago darling Alexander Bassett.

Alexander has been working hard to bridge the gap between scenes within his own city. He holds two residencies in Chicago, Emergency Broadcast, & Fakebeat in Uptown. Both feature appearances by Chicago's new dance heads, as well as touring acts. He also is a popular act at many of Chicago's finest clubs including Debonair Social Club, Rodan, Darkroom, Double Door, & Blue Star Lounge. 

Aside from djing in both New York and Chicago, Alexander is launching his own web zine www.fakebeat.com this month in collaboration with chicago producer/dj PROTMAN complete with a 24/7 web radio station aimed at fans of obscure electronic and experimental music.

Later this year the zine will be followed up with an Internationally distributed digital download label in collaboration with NYC's own Mike Dextro.

Dextro has been a resident at Pianos for sometime now, and diehard porn series promoter since the series inception. You can look forward to well crafted set that will keep you surprised from fader drop to record stop. Doesnt matter if its Electro, Baltimore, Techno, or Bangers... Dex always makes it work.

Also appearing live will be Kid Ginseng. Ginseng will be playing to support his new 12" a record that fuses electro and punk in an charmingly raw manner. Come early, he gets on at 10 sharp.

As always resident Ole of Diesel and Raw will be standing by to make sure the party keeps on moving.
