Event Over

This exhibit is a travelogue of people and places that I have met in my life. It is a collection of my work reflecting personal, political and musical subjects. The works include portraits, political subjects, still lifes and landscapes. The exhibit portrays people and places that have inspired me to draw and paint while living and studying in New York, Italy, Mexico and Brasil. I have admired Rembrandt, Velasquez, Vermeer and Goya masters of the 17th and 18th century and I have attempted to paint honestly the people of the 21st century with its diversity of beauty and violence.

The exhibit is presented in honor of my drawing teacher, Deane Keller, who passed away two years ago and Marvin Franklin a felllow student - artist/transit worker who was killed by a subway train last year.
