Seminar on the Environment (Event Over)

The United Nations in conjunction with the Natural World Museum will host, "Unlearning Intolerance: Art Changing Attitudes Towards the Environment," a seminar on the environment and the connections between art, action, and human security, or art as vehicles for environmental action. Seven artists representing six global regions present their art to generate dialogue as an alternative approach in strengthening community engagement in conservation and preservation. Model, entrepreneur and environmentalist Christie Brinkley will be a panelist at the seminar.
Registration begins at 9:00 AM and will be followed by two sessions. Session 1 "Confronting Environmental Intolerance: Art, Action, and Human Society" is from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM and Session 2 "Art For Change: Vehicles For Environmental Action" is begins at 3:00 PM and ends at 5:30 PM.
