Over the past few years, music heads across the country have been locked in a heated debate as to what “makes” a good DJ. Some folks say that a good DJ is someone who has crates of the best jams, but others insist that it is someone who knows how to kick off a good party. Nobody can seem to decide whether the better DJ is the genius Mixologist or if it is the Cool Kid.
But then, everyone once in a while, a DJ steps forth as being the perfect combo of both – a monster behind the tables who can also pull hundreds of to the dance floor.
MeanRed and Contagious Musiq have combed the country for those rare breeds, snatching Klever and Treasure Fingers and Kill The Noise from Atlanta, Craze from Miami, Jokers of the Scene from Canada, and DJ Ayres from Brooklyn.
All these boys will be under one roof on May 14th, and bringing thrashing techno beats and hip hop sensibilities to the underground DJ booth @ LOVE.
