Outstanding young bands will play old-time standards in Hot Jazz/Cool Garden, a free concert series launched this summer by the Louis Armstrong House Museum. Made for the shade, the programs will take place in the museum’s Japanese garden on Sunday,  July 20 and August 24, from 1 pm to4 pm.

Hot Jazz/Cool Garden was created to showcase new bands that specialize in traditional jazz. This year’s schedule features the Red Hook Ramblers on July 20, and the Lounge Leader on August 24. During their performances, Louis Armstrong House will remain open for tours at the discount price of $5 a person.
