Sonic Youth never goes out of style. Join them in the Pool as they send wave upon wave of crushing pop distortion into the stratosphere; maybe it'll be strong enough to knock down some of those ugly condos, eh?
Last year I promised I'd never pay a ton of money to get into a McCarren Pool show. But when Sonic Youth turned up to play the entirety of 'Daydream Nation,' guess who was outside the sold out gig offering some dude $80 for a ticket? Yup. And guess who was happy as a noise rocking clam that he did so? Yup again.
This guys are as cool as a supernova star and will remain that way until they kick the bucket. You'd be an idiot to miss out--and the ticket price is still way cheaper than Death Cab for Cutie's was, for chrissakes.
