On Saturday, Septemer 19, Carmina Soul returns OUTDOORS in the
courtyard @ The Old American Can Factory for the conclusion of this
remarkable summer series. This season's events have been beautiful
with acclaimed guests including Simbad, DJ Spinna, Nickodemus,
Ismael Kouyate, Mark De Clive-Lowe, DJ OP!, Ge-ology and Daz-I-Kue.
This month resident DJ Chris Annibell and percussionist Amon
welcome world renowned DJ Rich Medina to the stage; plus a warm-up
set by Brooklyn reggae selector and RedBud Records head honco DJ
Chicus.
Together, they will infuse Brooklyn's dance community with West
London Broken Beats, Latin Grooves, Global House, Classic and
Future Soul, Detroit Techno, Carribean Sounds, Underground Hip-Hop,
Jazz and African Polyrhythms; a night geared towards honoring the
cultural landscape of Gowanus, Brooklyn and to transcend the
confines of traditional clubs.
