FAN DEATH - Live Show
Thursday February 5 at Le Royale

"Girl on girl haunted DIY dancefloor hypnoses, made in the confession booth of the church of disco."
-Ohhcrapp

"Fan Death are the best new disco act we've heard since we bigged up Hercules & Love Affair "
- The Guardian, UK

"Fan Death sound like a black cat with iridescent emerald eyes teasing a mouse prior to its cruel, playful but intensely focussed dismemberment, oh, and disco, that string motif that kicks off ‘Veronica’s Veil’ grabs us by the pink lapels, hurls us into the centre of the dancefloor and impales our flesh with a merciless swarm of arrows so that we can become the late 70s NYC equivalent of St. Sebastian as painted by il Sodoma, taken to a quasi-religious ecstasy by the incandescent brilliance of the music engulfing us. Black like sin and sweet like salvation."
- 20 Jazz Funk Greats

"FAN DEATH: if they make more songs, can HRO spend a whole month talking about how HOT they are?"
- Hipster Runoff

Fan Death are the protégés of glam-trash DJ Erol Alkan. They are adored by superstar tastemaker Diplo. They are the subjects of blog hysteria. And in a press release they declare their intention to be to "make music that recalls the greatest era of electronic pop: Depeche Mode, OMD, New Order, Human League, Soft Cell and Pet Shop Boys. Great songs that happened to be electronic, not soulless, repetitious club music that seems to dominate these days." Meanwhile, that graceful figure sashaying across the dancefloor gazing forlornly at his reflection in the mirrorball is John Travolta as Tony Manero.
