Editors' Take

This magazine launch party is the kind of event you'd plan if you had any imagination. A midnight fashion show, an unlimited open bar, and surprise celeb guests from our fave reality TV shows sounds too good to be true.

Come celebrate with Daniel Saynt, Rachael J and Busie Matsiko as Fashion Indie leaves the digital world and comes to print. Our magazine launch party will feature celebrity guests, a fashion show, and giveaways all night long. Don't miss the independent fashion event of the year.

- Midnight Fashion Show featuring Love Brigade

- Charbay Cocktails

- Celebrity fashion designers and models

- H&M Giveaways all night long

hey andrew (just posted this to nichol's comment below as well),

love brigade deeply apologizes to you and all of the people on the guest lists who could not get in. we're still trying to figure out what happened. while we weren't in control of going.com's list (or missing list, rather), we ended up not being in control of our lists too. this means buyers and press couldn't even fit in.... the venue hit capacity at 10:05 and there was nothing anyone can do to squeeze in more people, not even us (one of our designers barely even got in). we are attempting to find a much much MUCH bigger venue for next time. in attempt to ease the pain, i'd like to offer to you and anyone who wasn't able to get in something special. love brigade is opening a co op designer retail showroom, send us an email with your full name and contact info at info@lovebrigade.com and we'll have a present waiting for you at our grand opening on october 5th. hope this makes last night a little more tolerable, and again, we wish that everyone would have been able to get in! the party was perhaps exploited a bit more than anticipated for the size of the venue, and it actually hurt us a bit, missing portions of our friends, fans, buyers, and press. thanks for understanding, and we ensure this will not happen again.

    best to you,
    alyssa and the brigade

Thanks going.com for sending us all on a wild goose chase. That was a totally bunch of bullshit. Would have been nice of you to have at least had a rep. there to explain why none of us got in, when your web page linked directly to the indiefashion page and theirs linked directly back to yours and there was no other "list" to rsvp to. Fucking lame. Luckily, I was with someone really cool and we made a great night of it without your trickery and tomfoolery.

no one from going.com got to get into the party because there was no guestlist for the 2000 people who rsvp'd for this event. what a waste of time. i deserve a goody bag just for wasting carfare and getting there an hour and a half early. the people at the door were very rude and the bouncers were inviting people on his cell phone and one of their guys was walking up and down the line picking his people out to come inside. i left and went to tracy reese after party which was much better organied and i got to meet her and take a picture with her. what a lady! i think there was a list and they knew how many people were coming and decided to lie and say there wasn't a list so all those people couldn't get in. they wanted the goody bags all to themselves and their friends, and the celebrities. what jerks! god don't like ugly!!!!!!!!!!!1
