Oh my god. That was the fucking shit. The line went around the block. I saw the most fucking beautiful girls all night. Love Brigade rocked. I couldn't get in for three hours and I got there at 9:30. When I finally did get in it was insane. I saw a model from Victoria Secret, Lupe Fiasco, Damon Dash, and a bunch of Top Model and Project Runway people. The dude at the door was a dick but it was totally worth it.

Mob scene outside Friday’s fashion show event at Boucarou Lounge as hundreds wait to get in for nearly three hours.

New York, September 11th – 2000 people flocked the doors of Boucarou Lounge on Friday, September 7th as FashionIndie.com launched their new print magazine. “The scene was crazy. There was a line around leading around the block.” says Fashion Indie president Daniel Saynt. “All night long we tried our best to admit as many as possible. But anyone who arrived after 10PM wasn’t getting in.” With the lounge at capacity within five minutes of opening the door, hundreds of individuals waited up to three hours to attend the event, which featured the fashion stylings of Williamsburg designers Love Brigade.

Police arrived at 10:30 to assist with the dissipation of the crowd. “We we’re telling people we had hit capacity and most would just stick around hoping to get in.” continues Saynt. In the process some key members of the press were turned away at the door including editors of People Magazine, In Touch, Glamour and buyers from Bloomingdales. “We apologize to all who weren’t able to make it in. We didn’t realize how popular the Fashion Indie brand has become. Our last event took place on Halloween and attendance was no where near the amount we saw on Friday.” The overwhelming response was partially caused through a partnership with http://Going.com, which featured the event as an Editor’s Choice resulting in nearly 2,400 displaying interest in the event. “In total we were able to admit 600 http://Going.com members throughout the night. We had no idea the site would draw such a crowd.”

Those who were able to make it in included Victoria Secret Model Ajuma Daily, Fashion Designer Malan Breton, and Project Runway’s Diana Eng.

As a consolation for those not in attendance, Fashion Indie will host a small after-work reception for guests turned away at the door of Friday night’s party at Barna. The event will feature a showcase of Love Brigade’s spring collection, music by DJ Tinypants, goody bags and giveaways from sponsors H&M, Glam Media, and Pevonia Botanica. The capacity for the new venue is 250 so guests are being encouraged to arrive early.
