The Village Pourhouse, Time Out New York's "Best Beer Bar" is in search of the city's best homebrewer. Have you been working on that perfect brew  for months in your basement? Always wanted to let beer lovers taste your beer and give you feedback? Ever imagined getting it bottled and having hundreds of people ordering it from the bar?

Enter your homebrewed beer in the "The Village Pourhouse's Best Brewer Competition" and it can all happen to you.

Here's how it works. 

Thursday, February 12th, The Village Pourhouse Upper West will be hosting their first Homebrewing 101 workshop to kick off the contest.

Learn what the trend is all about, how to brew your own beer, where to get the ingredients, and what are the next steps? The NYC Homebrewing Meetup Organization will be leading the class and discussing how to brew your own beer, right in your NYC apartment! Followed by Q& A and a Sam Adams Representative to tell you about their Long Shot Homebrewing Contest.

You will have a chance to sample some homebrewed concoctions and weigh in on what you think and taste some limited edition Sam Adams Beers- Blackberry Witbier, Double Bock, White Bock and Imperial Stout.

For those of you who already have homebrewing 101 behind your belt, here's a chance for you to register your beer at the venue and taste some new beers. Registration forms for the contest will be available. If you don't have any beer to brew yet - it's not too late, it takes 6-8 weeks to homebrew so we will give you until April to get this all set up!

In late April, we invite all contest participants to bring down their beer and introduce it to our audience and panel of industry judges. Each Brewer will get a table to do sampling and our guests will fill out their ballots for their favorites

Show off your beer to Sam Adams Representatives, The Homebrewing Organization, well-known Beer Bloggers, and Village Pourhouse Owners.

We will select 1 Grand Prize Winner to win "The Village Pourhouse's Best Brewer" Title
