On Wednesday, October 17th, at 8pm People In Gear will be launching their first fashion manifesto. In collaboration with Ear Candy come to our wednesday a night celebration at The Sullivan Room.
The night promises to be DIRTY-UNIQUE-FUN for one and all.
PIG is a new and fresh Fashion Agency that will be representing emerging vanguard designers.
Adrienne Lowery, David Alexander, , Lymarie Perez , Patricia Dominguez and Toufik Darbane will focus on reconstructing and deconstructing clothing, using each designers personal stock and donated recycled garments and materials.
The company conceptualized by Lymarie Perez is a freelance artist community, based on a collaboration of garment design and construction. Their main objective will be to share resources and ideas concentrating in all styles of wear; TEAM work.
The soiree will be hosted by NYC legendary icon, Sir Anthony Lamont. There will be live musical performances by Tania Mashay, Jess Banner and other guest artists with spinning sounds by DJ Artist Dave Vasquez.
The night will open with a screening based on short films with the subjects of fashion, art and music. The trailer for the feature film "Manuela y Manuel" designed by visionaire Rafi Mercado will also premiere at the festivities.
