Tired of tapas? Sick of sushi? It’s time to try Kushiyaki. Kushiyaki is translated from the Japanese as “tasty tidbits on skewers”. These skewers are traditionally larger than your average tapas and are found in Japanese Izakayas (Sake houses).
Yozkakura is the lower east side’s newest sake house. Yozakura’s kushiyaki menu ranges from the more familiar skewered chicken wings or angus beef to the more unusual ox tongue or squid legs.
Yozakura’s sake expert Warren Bayani pairs the kushiyaki with an extensive hand-picked sake menu. Warren is always excited to help introduce newbies into the sake and kushiyaki world.
