Under the stewardship of Principal Melissa Silberman, Automotive High has become a thriving and re-energized school on the rise. Rooftop Films has been doing shows on the lovely lawn at Automotive since 2005 and has been organizing and teaching classes at AHS for the last two years. The students at AHS actually learn how to build and repair cars, and in 2006 Rooftop Films showed a short film about the students who built a car that actually runs on French fry grease.
